OUR STORY
Our Humble Beginnings
In 2000, the Indy Catholic Malayalee community began not in a cathedral, but in the living rooms and basements of a few dedicated families. In those early days, distance was no obstacle; some members traveled for hours just to pray together and share a meal. These small, faithful gatherings laid the foundation for the vibrant community we are today.
Fr. Francis Kalapurackal has been a pillar of our community from the very start, serving as a strong supporter and the spiritual backbone of our church since its inception. His unwavering guidance has helped us grow from a small prayer group into the family we are today.
Where We Are Now
What started in a basement has grown into a spiritual home for over 35 families. We may have grown in size, but our heart remains the same. Every month, we gather for Holy Mass at St. Pius X Church in Indianapolis, followed by our favorite tradition: a community potluck lunch where we share food, stories, and laughter.
